16 days....

Well we have been here 16 days and are finally getting into a routine.  The first few days my parents were here visiting (which we loved)!  We have been doing jeep trails every weekend, this weekend we decided to chill out at home!  Kenneth only works Monday - Thursday right now so we have 3 day weekends every week!  It is so nice!  Friday we were hanging out at the house and around 4:30 Zach came running in to get me.  Kenneth and him were outside and saw a huge plume of smoke.  We looked at a map and tried to figure out where is was coming from.  Once we did we got in the car and took a drive.  We ended up about 30 miles from our house at a raging wild fire!  Since friday afternoon the fire has grown to over 7,000 acres.  Saturday afternoon we looked out the front door and saw another plume of smoke!  It is very scary to look around and see smoke everywhere.  We are not in any danger from either of these fires burning near us, but it is very sad to see such pretty land go up in smoke.  There are fires all over California, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado and we are in DESPERATE need of rain (which of course is not in the forecast).

Kenneth ordered a lift kit today so after that comes in we will be back on the trails!  4th of July will be our first major holiday away from the family and we were looking forward to going into Ouray and watching a fireworks display.  With the dire conditions around they have of course band all fireworks this year.  So I am not sure how we will spend the 4th but I know I will be surrounded by 3 of my most favorite people and that is all that matters.
