Sunsets and Pancakes...

Texas has some beautiful skies and even more beautiful sunsets, BUT I have never in my life seen anything like the blue skies of Colorado.  It is the most vibrant blue you could imagine. God's work can be seen at every turn!  I feel very blessed to call Colorado home for however long we are here! (No Janelle that does not mean we are heading back right now) The other night while mom and dad were still here we were walking around our property and I took this picture.  The camera on my phone does not even do it justice but the big camera was back at the house.

This is the view from the rear of our property.

While still living with my parents Zachary became a little breakfast chef!  His favorite thing to make is pancakes.  Mom recently got a container that you can put pancake batter in and it has a little spout (like a water bottle) on the top which makes pouring pancakes easier.  Zachary LOVED it so of course I went out and bought him one to bring here.  Since we've been here he has made us pancakes twice.  Kenneth and I are hoping to get him more involved in cooking other meals because he is so picky.  Our hope is that if he helps out and knows how things are being prepared maybe he will cook new things he will like to eat.  He has gotten better at eating but still is a super picky eater.  He comes by it honestly!

My belated birthday breakfast!

Mom and dad left yesterday and headed to visit her dad and his wife, they live in Albuquerque which is only about 3 1/2 hours from us.  Then on to my aunt and uncle's house in Boyd.  I am glad that they are taking it slow getting back home and enjoying some time away! We are so grateful that they helped the kids and I move up here and spent a few days with us.  Since they are now gone I am working on unpacking and getting things settled while Kenneth is at work.  During the summer Kenneth only works 4 days a week so tomorrow is our first 3 day weekend as just the 4 of us.  It has been a REALLY, REALLY long time since we have done things just us.  We don't know what we are going to do but it will be fun and out in the beautiful weather! Today the high was only 80 (yes all our friends and family in Texas I am rubbing it in)!!
