Father's Day and Grocery Shopping in a strange place......

We spent father's day sitting at home and relaxing.  After being out in the jeep all day saturday Kenneth just wanted to chill and relax so that is what we did.  I made dinner then we sat as a family and watched Sherlock Holmes (the second one), the kids loved it! We had a nice day and missed our family back home.  We hope that everyone had a great day!

Today I took the kids into Farmington to go grocery shopping.  Our goal was to go early to avoid crowds (yes it gets crowded here), well that didn't happen.  We did however get to go have lunch with Kenneth and see his new office.  Then I got lost trying to find the bank and you would think that Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart....nope!  Nothing was in the same places so something that should have taken 30-45 minutes took well over an hour.  I am not used to having to bring an ice chest with me for cold items.  Ha Ha!  The kids were pretty good, Zach checked things off the list while Christina played games on my phone while walking through the store!  We made it home and only forgot one thing and no Janelle is wasn't tortillas (I remembered those)!  Living 30 miles from anywhere is going to improve my cooking skills!

There are a lot of wild fires in Colorado and New Mexico at the current moment! We can see smoke from our front porch for a fire in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  It's about 90 miles east of us. This afternoon we heard about a new small fire about 50 miles southeast of us (close to Kenneth's work).  We are in desperate need of rain.  The spring and summer have been very warm, which has melted the snow much faster than normal!  Looks like we brought the Texas drought from last year with us.  Yikes!

I am off to go enjoy the sunset with my family!  Love you all!
